The Voice of the Holy Spirit

Hello Friends,

When I stop to praise and thank God for His wonderful blessings, I automatically turn my attention to the Holy Spirit. He is the third person of the Trinity. Jesus entrusted his followers to remain in Jerusalem until they were filled, baptized with His presence (the Holy Spirit) and His power. (See Luke 24:49)

I believe to accomplish all that God has appointed for us, we must be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and be attentive when He speaks to us through the Scriptures and with His voice which lives inside of all who have received Him.

He is and has the answer to every question and directs us in the way we should go. When it seems you don’t have what it takes to get the job done His voice declares, “The Lord will guide you continually and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones. You will be like a watered garden and like a spring of water whose waters do not fail (Isaiah 58:11).” We have an unlimited, never ending supply of the Spirit of God. When the questions have no answers in our own understanding He will reassure us, “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go. I will counsel you and watch over you (Ps 32:8).” When you are about to make a hasty, wrong decision, His voice warns, “You shall not go out with haste…..for the Lord will go before you, and the God of Israel will be your rear guard” (Isaiah 52:12). God’s got you covered!

When the pressures of this world surround you, He whispers softly, “Come to me all who are weary and heavy laden, take my yoke upon you for my burden is easy and my yoke light.” (Matthew 6:33)

Turning down the volume of the world and tuning in to the voice of the spirit is well worth the effort. For then we can hear and recognize the voice of God. Nothing is more important in this day and time, absolutely nothing!

Living the good life in Christ,

Love you,

Pastor Mary

P.S. See you Sunday!
