Dear Friend:

Thank you so much to everyone who has showered such an abundance of love and support to our church members and our community. Here at BCOC, we have had over 22 families lose their homes and many more displaced from their homes. In the midst of tragedy, God’s people rise up and bring strength and comfort to those who are hurting. Thank you to all of you who have been calling, giving, listening, volunteering and more. The scripture that has been speaking to my heart is Isaiah 60:1-2: “Arise! Shine (be radiant with the glory of the Lord), for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you! For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and dense darkness [all] peoples, but the Lord shall arise upon you [O Jerusalem], and His glory shall be seen on you.” In the midst of the darkness we are currently facing, the Lord has promised to rise upon us and bring His glory to rest on us. His glory means both His presence and His provision. He is the God of more than enough- the God of restoration. Thank you again for being with us through this time.

In His Love,

Pastor Maureen
