Dear Joyful Explorer & Amazing  Adventurer Parents (Pre-K4 and Kinder):

We are happy to inform you BCOC has a special Children’s Christmas service planned for Sunday, December 19, 2021, from 10:00am-11:30am. The entire children’s department will be participating in celebrating the true reason for the season. Our Joyful Explorers (4-year olds) & Amazing Adventurers (5-year olds) in Room C will be sharing the song “Merry Christmas” with our congregation. We will practice this song in class every Sunday and Wednesday until the big day! We not only be practice singing but also signing the words “Merry Christmas” so please do your best to have your child in class.

Below you will find the lyrics of the song and link for the sign language motion. We ask you practice and sing-a-long with your child at home so they feel confident and ready to sing and sign this song in our special service.  It will beautiful to the ears and eyes!

Dress Up Time!

Something this season I feel the Lord wants to remind us is that we have been given gifts; these gifts are the precious children and youth of this church! A fun way to remind us of this is that we are asking all children who attend classes on Room C (4-5 year olds) to dress as Christmas gifts.

We will have wrapping paper, ribbon and present box suits for the children to dress up in. If you would prefer to dress your child as a gift and use your crafty, creative skills we encourage you to do so. Gift wrapped box suits, string lights, and ribbons galore are all welcome! It will give a wonderful opportunity to create and have conversation with your child about Christmas and the real reason we celebrate… His name is Jesus!

The Game Plan: (Day of Performance- 12/19/21)

Please bring your children on Sunday morning December 19th to Room C by 9:15am. We will make sure all the children are dressed as gifts and practice the song.  You are welcome to stay and help us dress the children.

The children will enter the sanctuary by 10:05 am for their performance. Their song will follow the Little Fish Class and after the Joyful Explorers and Amazing Adventurers perform, the Kingdom Kids (1st-5th grade students) will perform. We  then will have the children of Room C sit on the floor on the from right side of the sanctuary, near the stage. When all have finished their presentations all the children will sit on the stage while Pastor Scott reads a story to the children and congregation.

Here are the links and words for you to practice at home with your child:
