Love Your Neighbor

Dear Church Family:

Recently at church, we launched a campaign called, “Love Your Neighbor” based on the scripture Matthew 22:37 where Jesus answered, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and most important commandment. The second most important commandment is like it: Love your neighbor as you love yourself”. The whole law of Moses and the teachings of the prophets depend on these two commandments”. (Good News Bible)

The whole concept of this act of love is simple –bake cookies, visit your neighbors and invite them to be your guest at a Sunday morning service.
This one action presents two truths. The first is you CARE! It shows you sincerely care about your neighbor’s household. The second act is giving an invitation to visit our church where you believe your neighbor’s whole family will be blessed.

God’s Word tells us that “Love never fails” (I Corinthians 13). The simple act of showing that you care brings great spiritual victory to your neighborhood!

We believe the greatest opportunity of all is to invite friends and neighbors to be introduced to the Kingdom of God which is righteousness, peace ,and joy in the Holy Spirit, through receiving Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 14:17)

So dear neighbor, let’s keep our eyes open, our hearts open, and our arms open for God to do a beautiful work in our neighborhood and in our wonderful church family in the weeks to come.

Pastor Mary
