Dear BCOC Family,

We are so excited to be opening our Kingdom Kid’s Children’s Ministry on Sunday, September 13, 2020, and Focus Youth Ministries on Wednesday, September 16, 2020. At this time our nursery, pre-school and elementary classes will open for ages 12 months and older on both Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. We also will be opening both our junior high (grades 6-8) and senior high (grades 9-12) classes.

Our staff has been working to create a safe and secure environment for you. If you plan on coming to church in the weeks ahead, here are a few things to expect during your experience.

Children’s Ministry Re-opening Guidelines

If you or your children are experiencing symptoms, please stay home and enjoy our services online.

Check in your child before arriving to church using the Church Center app. Here’s how:

  • Download here: Download for Apple | Download for Android
  • Once you install the Church Center app, search for BCOC, and make BCOC Church your home church.
  • Tap the Check-Ins tab at the bottom of the app to start your Pre-Check! Then choose who is checking in that day to get a QR code.
  • When you arrive at church, go to the Pre-check-in station in the main lobby to scan the code and your labels will automatically print. It will be touch free!

Visiting for the First Time? We invite first time visitors to check their children in at the Connect desk in the main foyer.

Additional Guidelines & Procedures

  • Temperatures will be taken of all children and volunteers prior to coming into the children’s wing to ensure all temperatures are within a healthy range.
  • Chairs will be placed six feet apart.
  • Volunteers and staff will be wearing face coverings unless they are at the front of the class ministering. Masks are required for kids in grade one and older.
  • Children are permitted to remove face coverings when outside and maintaining appropriate distance (6 feet outdoors)
  • Please pick up children promptly after service.

Please Note: We will be doing everything we can to practice limited contact per the guidelines of the CDC.

BCOC Youth Department Re-opening Guidelines

We are so excited to introduce our new Junior High ministry called, IGNITE.
IGNITE Youth is fired up to help 6th-8th grade students grow their faith, their character, and their relationships.

IGNITE is a where we learn about God and grow to love Him more. Here, we make friends, serve others, and have fun at the same time! Using Biblical teachings and discipleship, we seek to excite, inspire, capture, and IGNITE young people for Jesus Christ.

If your youth are experiencing symptoms, we kindly request that they stay home. Our mid-week services will still be streamed on YouTube and Facebook if youth aren’t able to attend in-person yet.
The Youth Ministry will be opening its doors at 6:15 p.m. The service start time will be at 6:30 p.m., and service end time will be at 8:00 p.m.

Youth may also use the contactless pre-check-in feature using the Church Center app before arriving to church:

  • Upon arrival, print tags at Pre-Check-In station in lobby
  • Temperatures will be taken of all youth and volunteers prior to coming into the youth wing to ensure all temperatures are within a healthy range.
  • All youth will be required to check in before coming to the youth room

Additional Guidelines & Procedures

  • Youth will be required to wear a face covering
  • All volunteers and staff will be wearing masks. The speaker and worship team will not be wearing face coverings while on stage but will be while off stage.
  • We request that youth refrain from physical contact with each other as much as possible. Please know that everyone is at different comfort levels with interaction currently, and we want to respect each other.
  • Everyone will be encouraged to maintain six feet apart before and during the duration of service.
  • All surfaces will be cleaned extensively before and during service.
  • Once the youth service has concluded, we will close the facility within 10-15 minutes

We love you. We trust you. Our new guidelines and procedures are in place so you and your family can trust that we are doing everything we can to ensure your church experience is as safe as possible. We look forward to seeing you soon.

Parents, please let your children and youth know in advance what to expect. Remind them that this time of physical distancing is temporary but important as we take care of each other as a church family. We appreciate your help in making this transition as smooth as possible.
