Spirit Lead Me

Dear Friend:

“Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders

Let me walk upon the waters

Wherever You would call me

Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander

And my faith will be made stronger

Yesterday our morning church service was more than amazing. When we sang this song by Hillsong United (“Oceans- Where Feet May Fall”) it really touched me and spoke to me. I personally had never heard this song before. It has become my prayer and the cry of my heart that I am saying to God all day long. I know He wants to take all of us deeper than we have been before. As we were singing this song I heard the Lord say three things in my heart:

1. “Callings are calling” – There is a call of God on the life of man. He is speaking to you and me individually, calling our name and showing us His marvelous plan for our lives. It is a detailed, tailored plan unique for each man, woman and child. We must, however, say, “Yes” to Him. We can choose our own way or His way. He is gentle and kind and will not push His way upon us against our own free will. Oh, but His way is so much higher and so much better!

2. “Dedication”- I began to make a fresh dedication of my life to God- acknowledging to Him that I was completely His and was willing to do whatever He wanted me to do. I was reminded of the scripture in Corinthians that tells me that my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit (I Corinthians 6:19). I am the house of God. He lives in me. Let us dedicate our lives to follow Jesus fully. Let’s stay so close to Him that we remain sensitive to His leading and His direction every day. Let’s make time each day to worship Him and fellowship with Him in the secret place. I also prayed in my heart silently a dedication of our new church sanctuary to the plans and purposes of God.

3. “This place is a sending place”- I see in my heart that God will bring many people into this church. They will draw near to God and meet Him personally in this place and be forever changed. Men, women and children will be touched by the tangible presence of the Lord and be sent out on divine assignments from their Father.

I am filled with joy and expectation with all that our Lord wants to do in our lives. His plan is so grand and beautiful. I stand amazed that He chose you and me to be a part of His great plan in the earth. Let’s stand at full attention, on alert, and be listening on the inside to what He is saying to us. I am so thankful for the peace and stillness He brings to us.

“Lord, we love you and worship You. We dedicate ourselves once again to You. All that we have and all that we are is because of You and Your amazing unfailing love. May our trust be without any borders and let us all walk upon the waters wherever You may want to take us. We don’t have to understand   everything with our minds. Help us to trust You with childlike faith- knowing and believing that You are a good Father and want only the best for Your children. We will obey what You put in our hearts. There are dreams and  visions yet to be fulfilled. We will hold fast to You and your promises and see the “much greater things”. We love you.”
