According to 2 Peter 1:4, God’s great and precious promises already belong to us! He’s not dangling them out in front of us like a carrot so that we would chase after them, uncertain of whether or not we would ever actually enjoy them. They have already been purchased and secured for us through the payment of the blood of Jesus Christ. You may be looking at your life and realizing that you aren’t experiencing them, but all you need to do is learn how to receive. It is through these promises of God that we become partakers of His divine nature and escape the corruption that is in this world. You will become invisible to the forces of darkness with all its rottenness and decay that seeks to destroy your life. Instead, the very life and nature of God will protect you and cause you to triumph in every area.
