What to Expect

For more than 25 years, Bastrop Christian Outreach Center (BCOC) has been helping ordinary people apply the practical lessons from God’s Word to their daily lives. At BCOC, you will find a spirit filled congregation- people from all different backgrounds and walks of life. What we have in common is a love for Jesus, a love for one another and a desire to grow to be more like Him every day. You will find contemporary praise and worship and relevant, practical teaching that will help you grow in your walk with the Lord.

There are many opportunities to attend small groups where you will meet new people and also participate in ministries that are touching and changing lives. We believe God wants to make a difference in your life. He created you with great purpose. Are you ready for a new beginning? We are here to help you in your journey of faith.

Where Do I Take My Children & Teens?

Children and Youth Ministry is at the heart of what we do here at BCOC. We are so excited to have the opportunity to partner with you in teaching your child and young adult the Word of God. Our belief is that children and youth ministry should be both fun and interactive. Upon arrival to church, please register your child for class at the Children’s Self Check-in Kiosk located in the church foyer.

First time visitors should go to the Children’s Registration Desk located in the Children’s wing to register their child and pick up their child’s name tag and parent sticker. First time visitors may also register their child/children online by clicking here.

First Time Visitors

All first time visitors to BCOC will receive a welcome gift packet from our greeters and/or ushers. Your welcome gift will include:

  • BCOC Visitor’s Brochure
  • 20% Coupon for BCOC Bookstore

Please stop by the bookstore after church to pick up your free gift. We look forward to seeing you this Sunday and hope you will come and visit us again!

What Our Services are like

Sundays 9:30 a.m.

In our Sunday morning service, you will find a diverse group of people coming together to worship the Lord and hear practical lessons from the Bible preached. Both Pastor Scott and Pastor Joan deliver messages of forgiveness, healing, and comfort that transform lives. We believe that all things are possible with God and He has designed a glorious plan for each life.

Music plays an important role in our services. Each week our singers and musicians lead the congregation into the wonderful presence of the Lord as we lift our voices together in thankfulness to God. We invite the Holy Spirit to come in our services and move as He desires. Communion is observed on the first Sunday of every month. We welcome both visitors and members to join in the Lord’s Supper.

Wednesday Evening Service  6:30 – 8:00 p.m.

At our Wednesday night service you will experience a more casual, relaxed atmosphere as we pray together, worship together, and hear relevant teachings from the Bible preached. This service focuses on the believer in Christ using theme based teaching. Bible studies including such topics as ProverbsThe TabernaclePrayerMotivational Gifts and more are covered.

The Sunday 9:30 a.m. message is ASL interpreted; other services and events are ASL interpreted upon request. Our ushers will help you find the special seating area in the sanctuary.
