Make a Difference
Jesus came into this world to seek and to save those who were lost (Luke 19:10). Many people both in our local community and around the world are lost, hurting and living without hope or purpose. At BCOC, we truly believe that one person can make a difference in this world. We invite you to bring the gifts, talents and abilities that God has given you to make a difference in this world by serving others and ministering to people’s physical and spiritual needs. We were born to be a blessing to others
Bastrop Pregnancy Resource Center

Bastrop County Emergency Food Pantry
BCOC is delighted to be able to provide monthly financial support to the Bastrop County Emergency Food Pantry. The mission of the Food Pantry & Support Center is to serve all people in Bastrop County with hunger-related needs and support services which may include providing emergency food, information, referral counseling and support services for families and the elderly. This organization assists the elderly struggling against rising prices on fixed incomes and increasing numbers of families of displaced workers Please visit their website for more ways you can get involved.
Children’s Advocacy Center
The Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) of Bastrop, Lee & Fayette Counties is a child-friendly facility where child victims of abuse may be interviewed, undergo medical evaluations, and receive therapy. Before the CAC opened its doors, child abuse victims and their families were bounced from one agency to another – from the child welfare office, to the police department, to the hospital, to the prosecutor’s office – repeatedly telling their stories of abuse. This caused a duplication of efforts, along with multiple unnecessary and traumatic interviews for the child. Today, the Children’s Advocacy Center serves as the “hub” to the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT), a skilled team of professionals comprised of members of many organizations including law enforcement, social services, prosecution, mental health, medical, and victim advocacy personnel. The MDT work together in the investigation, treatment, management, and prosecution of child abuse cases.

Austin Disaster Relief Network
Austin Disaster Relief Network (ADRN), a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, is comprised of over 175 Greater Austin churches and thousands of trained volunteers bringing hope into crisis. ADRN’s network enables and empowers church members to organize, prepare, mobilize, and respond quickly in the event of disaster, great or small. Business partners, local agencies and community support play a vital role in ADRN’s mission. It is through the generosity of their in-kind donations, monetary gifts and volunteer assistance, that ADRN can fund the rebuild/repair of survivor homes and provide immediate assistance to those in crisis.

Christian Motorcyclists Association (CMA)
Christian Motorcyclists Association, or CMA, is a ministry that reaches out primarily to the motorcyclist community. CMA’s motto is simple; “Changing lives, one heart at a time.” We serve at motorcycle rallies by working at the registration desk, doing trash pick-up, and performing the Sunday morning church service. At the rallies, we set up hospitality tents and provide free water, coffee, snacks, and seating under the tent. When people come to the tent, we take the opportunity to minister to them by praying with them, handing out Bibles or tracts, and by meeting their needs, both physical and spiritual. CMA also participates in one fund raiser a year called “Run for the Son”. The local chapter, here is Bastrop, is called the Ekklesia Riders. For more information, visit http://www.cmausa.org/. Chariots of Light Biker’s Club
Chariots of Light Biker’s Club is an outreach of Jerry Savelle Ministries. Our passion is Philippians 2:15 which states that we are to “Shine as Lights” in this world. We love to ride motorcycles and antique cars are also our passion. God has given us the tools to minister to people everywhere we go. We participate in many events in our area and in other communities. We travel to rallies, car shows, festivals, and juvenile detention centers. We also distribute food and clothes where they are needed. We just completed our first toy run for the Bastrop County Crisis Center. It is truly an honor to be able to give in the name of Jesus and to “Shine as Lights” during this season. “How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news of good things (NAS!)” Romans 10:15 From the beginning, the world has been engraved upon the heart of BCOC. BCOC began Mercy Mission in April 2011 after Pastor Scott & Maureen and their son, Andrew, traveled to Nepal and Burma and witnessed the immense needs of many children and orphans living in these developing countries. Mercy Mission is a child sponsorship program whereby an individual, group or church supports a child on a monthly basis to provide for him an education, food, housing, clothes, a school uniform, school fees, books and a Bible. The sponsor contributes $35.00 a month to “adopt” a child and commits to praying for his/her welfare and future. We also encourage the sponsor and child to communicate through letter writing. If you are interested in sponsoring a child in need, please contact the church office at 512-321-2273 or fill out this form. We will send you a child’s profile and more information on the program. You may also sponsor a child online by clicking here and selecting “Child Sponsorship Fund” under Recurring Donations. We will send your child’s packet in the mail to you.
The Father’s House Orphanage
Note: Some names and places below have been changed to protect the identity of individuals. The Father’s House Orphanage located in Burma was started over nine years ago by a dedicated Burmese believer who was brought up as a Christian and accepted Christ as a young child. He felt called in his heart to minister to the Buddhist people. As he began sharing the good news, he found there were many children who had been orphaned and desperately needed help, so he began taking in children. The Father’s House currently has more than 40 children living at the home. Their town is notorious for prostitution, theft and robbery. Most people in the community are either Buddhist or Muslim and are generally very poor, working as daily laborers with limited income. The children at Father’s House have Bible devotions every morning and prayer meetings every evening. One day a week they attend special children’s services where they are taught the Word of God. Another day, they participate in the adult service by reciting Bible verses and singing special songs. Twice a day, they eat a meal of white rice boiled with vegetables and drink hot tea. The children sleep on the floor. Most of the homes in this area are made of bamboo and wood. Please pray for more land and better buildings for their dormitories, as presently there is no playground for the children.
Pastor Sponsorship Program- 10/40 Window, Southeast Asia
In 2011, BCOC began a Pastor Sponsorship program partnering with a ministry in a closed country. Through this monthly sponsorship program we are able to help pastors overseas by providing food and transportation for them, helping to build schools and churches, and assisting them to develop and influence their communities. If you are interested in sponsoring a pastor living within the 10/40 window, please contact us at 512-321-2273 or by filling out this form. You may give online for the pastor sponsorship program by clicking here and selecting “International Pastor Sponsorship Fund” under Recurring Donations.
Puppets for Orphans
Puppets for Orphans is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose goal is to share God’s love by providing a soft and lovable puppet to the world’s orphaned and abandoned children in every land. Our desire is that every child who has ever felt lonely, hurt, abandoned, or forgotten to know that God sees his/her cries and cares. Each simple puppet is hand crafted by loving volunteers. We pour love and prayer over each puppet before sending them out with missionaries to be hand delivered to the children. We have many areas for you to serve or you may choose to donate materials or funds (each puppet costs around $1 to create).
Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) – Bastrop, Texas
BCOC’s vision for the ministry at FCI Bastrop is to bring hope to each man in the prison system, translating this hope into a daily life of happiness, confidence and restoration in relationships. Our mission is to provide a steady diet of God’s Word, God’s presence, and God’s power for each male inmate. BCOC will also train and disciple each person in their relationship with Jesus Christ through weekly Bible studies, homework, accountability and care. Leader: Pastor Scott Stanek, 512-321-2273, or firstname.lastname@example.org Location: Federal Correctional Institution (FCI), Bastrop, Texas.
Bastrop County Jail – Men’s Ministry
Since 1996, BCOC’s jail ministry has been changing lives offering hope and a new life in Christ to inmates. Through this ministry many men have been born again and made decisions to change the path of destruction they have been on. The team prepares for their time of ministry by praying in the Holy Spirit and doing a study of the Word often using the messages taught at BCOC as a foundation. Contact: Mike Busche, 512-581-9936, email@example.com Time & Location: Bastrop County Jail, Sunday Nights. 7:45 – 9:30 p.m.
Bastrop County Jail – Women’s Ministry
This outreach is a ministry to the women inmates in Bastrop County Jail. Isaiah 61:1 says, “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me…to proclaim liberty to the captives…” Although the women receiving ministry through this outreach are in jail, they are hearing the good news that they can be truly free through a new life in Jesus Christ! Many who are caught in the web of hopelessness often become involved in criminal activity. Eventually they are arrested and taken to county jail where they await trial. Without the Gospel message of life and hope in Christ, they will continue to live in this destructive cycle, harming themselves and the community. Matthew 12:20 says, “A bruised reed shall He not break, and smoking flax shall He not quench…” This compassionate ministry to bruised and broken women is healing hearts and changing lives through the anointed teaching of the Word of God and the infilling of the Holy Spirit. Every woman is given the opportunity to meet Jesus in all of His presence and all of His power. Contact: Pastor Joan Boethel, 512-321-2273, or firstname.lastname@example.org Time & Location: Bastrop County Jail, Sunday Nights, 1st & 3rd of the month. 4:00 – 5:30 p.m.
